Happy V-Day

February 13, 2009 | 2 Comments

home-teachin2In a nod to the calendar, I bring you a video from TED (“Ideas worth spreading”) featuring Eve Ensler, author of The Vagina Monologues. In this 2004 piece, Finding Happiness in Body and Soul, Ms. Ensler speaks about how her famous play came to be, what it’s like to lead a global campaign against sexual violence, and finding happiness in the midst of it all. It’s a 20 minute piece, worth your time. I hope you’ll enjoy it.

If you’d like more information about Ms. Ensler’s work and the ongoing campaign to end violence against women around the world, including information about ongoing V-Day events, please check out her website. And V-Day donations can be made here.
