February 16, 2009 | Leave a Comment
The National Academy of Sciences report on the prevention of mental, emotional and behavioral disorders among young people is now available. A formal public briefing of the document will be held live and via webcast March 25th from 1-5 pm. You can register for the event here.
From the website: “This study is sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the National Institute of Mental Health, and the National Institute on Drug Abuse. They have asked the committee, in part, to update a 1994 IOM report, Reducing Risks for Mental Disorders, with special attention to the research base and program experience with younger populations that has emerged since that time.”
