DV Service Models
September 17, 2009 | Leave a Comment
The Family Justice Center Alliance has their 1st online learning course available on their site: an orientation to co-located domestic violence service models (a la the family justice center model). It’s a nicely done, narrated video/slide presentation, and it’s a great tool for anyone looking at providing multiple victim services under one roof.
I think there’s a lot to learn for other types of victim service providers, too–many of the points are not necessarily specific to DV. That being said, if you all would indulge me in a quick bitch for a minute: though the organization is filled with smart and creative people, their website is a cumbersome beast. Trying to find information is often tricky, so if any of you have influence (or better yet, actually work there), please consider issuing a plea for a more intuitive and streamlined site!
