Workplace Violence 101

Workplace Violence 101 is being offered by the ePanic Button. It’s a good starting place for those of you trying to engage your agencies in looking at policies related to violence in the workplace. The session will be held July 22nd from 2:30-3:30 pm ET and is free of charge.

From the site:

A general overview of workplace violence prevention and management will be offered with a focus on developing and improving programs and policies.  Recent cases will be used to highlight important steps and measures to ensure a secure workplace.

Learning Objectives:

1) Assess the risks of workplace violence and implement changes to minimize those risks;

2) Develop and post workplace violence and harassment policies;

3) Establish workplace violence and harassment programs to implement the policies including measures and procedures for reporting incidents of violence

4) Provide workers with training and information respecting the policies and programs.
