Forensic Injury Assessment

The Forensic Nurses’ Society of Canada is sponsoring a free webinar on forensic injury assessment. The webinar will be held September 8th at 11am ET. Preregistration is required.

In this session the issues surrounding injury terminology and identification will be discussed. The new injury mnemonic known as BALD STEP is being added to the RCMP sexual assault kits to aid in comprehensive assessment and documentation. This mnemonic is useful for any trauma situation. The BALD STEP components will be described along with ideas for how to easily integrate it into traumagrams and assessment documentation.
