I’m having some serious internet issues today, so I will keep this short. A new VAWnet applied research paper is now available: Violence During Pregnancy and the Postpartum Period (PDF). Perfect for your January staff meeting (because we know at this month’s meeting it’s all about appreciating your staff and stuffing yourselves full of somebody’s homemade yum yums).

Stop back tomorrow for another great resource from a colleague and FHO reader…

Thanks for sharing this great new document! Pregnancy/postpartum is such a crucial time in fetal/infant development – the impact of violence at this stage can be devastating. This literature review reveals a particularly high frequency and severity of abuse for survivors during this period. That’s why the role of maternal and pediatric health is so critical!

Thanks for the comment, Casey. VAWnet publications are some of my most valuable resources, and I doubt that I am alone in saying that.
