Starting a Family Justice Center

Gael Strack and Casey Gwinn (Family Justice Center Alliance) will be presenting a webinar August 6th at 9am Pacific on starting a family justice center in your community. Participation is free, but preregistration is required.

“Casey Gwinn and Gael Strack, Co-Founders of the National Family Justice Center Alliance, will provide an overview of the key steps in starting a Family Justice Center  in your community – everything from community readiness, getting buy in, developing the vision, dreaming big, and starting small.  They will share the lessons learned from opening the nationally recognized San Diego Family Justice Center, the 16 sites from the President’s Family Justice Center Initiative, and many other co-location models from around the world.

Today, the Alliance Team is assisting over 60 sites at various stages of planning.   Gael promises they will share all their “Keepers and Do-Over’s” and provide enough time for your questions. Casey and Gael are the co-authors of “Hope for Hurting Families: Creating Family Justice Centers Across America”, “Hope for Hurting Families II: How to Start a Family Justice Center”, and, most recently, “Hope for Hurting Families:  A Guide to Co-Located Services in the Middle East.”  Please consider sending questions in advance to Brenda@nfjca.org.”
