Trauma Informed Approach for Youth

First, what a lovely day I spent with Vermont nurses today. Really interesting conversation (plus the location, which I tweeted, was awesome). Second, between training Army lawyers earlier in the week and training 2 sets of Marine lawyers next week, can I tell you how nice it was to be in a room full of clinicians? FindYouthInfo.gov is hosting a webinar May 21stat 2pm ET: Implementing a Trauma-Informed Approach for Youth Across Service Sectors.

From the announcement:

Developing an understanding of how trauma affects the lives of youth, and how service providers can infuse this understanding into their work with young people from various populations, can make an important difference in outcomes for youth. This webinar will provide an overview of trauma and the effect it can have on youth development, recognizing the dangers of re-traumatizing youth if services are not trauma-informed, trauma-informed approaches and what they mean for different service sectors, and how trauma-informed interventions can be used in a range of youth service systems to improve outcomes for youth.
