{Don’t forget to enter our current book giveaway!}

The American Academy of Pediatrics’ Medical Home for Children and Adolescents Exposed to Violence is hosting a webinar, Practical Approaches with Patients Exposed to Multiple Types of Violence. The session will be held November 5th from 11am-12pm CT. You can see the details after the jump. If this one isn’t relevant to your practice they also have multiple archived webinars on their site, including this one: Beyond the First Exposure: The Physical, Mental, and Emotional Toll of Violence. Good stuff.

From the announcement:

Three of every 5 children were exposed to or victimized by violence this past year.  Of these almost 40% experienced more than one type of violence, increasing their likeliness of experiencing toxic stress. Supported by a grant from the Department of Justice, the American Academy of Pediatrics is hosting a free webinar to discuss the role of the primary care pediatrician in identifying patients who have experienced multiple types of violence.
