Since Last We Spoke: #TDVAM2014

Here’s the thing–I am immersed in the last throws of curriculum writing and have been for weeks, so pretty much everything I read this past weekend was related to domestic violence. So nothing from popular media to report back to you today. However, February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, and our friends at VAWnet have an updated special collection for you to check out. Plus, after the jump, a small selection from the science (I made it just for you):

For your reading pleasure, a sample of some of the peer-reviewed healthcare literature on teen dating violence from the past year (including a couple free full-text articles):

J Sch Health. 2013 Jun;83(6):389-99. doi: 10.1111/josh.12042. Ten-year trends in physical dating violence victimization among U.S. adolescent females. Howard DE, Debnam KJ, Wang MQ.

Pediatrics. 2013 Jan;131(1):71-8. doi: 10.1542/peds.2012-1029. Epub 2012 Dec 10. Longitudinal associations between teen dating violence victimization and adverse health outcomes. (FREE FULL-TEXT). Exner-Cortens D, Eckenrode J, Rothman E.

Hi Jenifer,

The link to the first article does not work. Could you try again? It looks like good information to have.
Thanks,
Ellen

It works- thanks. I love the VAWA collection! Thanks for all you do to bring us the latest info. I encourage all SANEs to subscribe to your site because it is so helpful.
