Since Last We Spoke, 8-5-13

This weekend was a work weekend, which isn’t a terrible thing when the work is really good. I spent most of my reading time focused on the business of what we do (for multiple reasons, not the least of which is that our 2nd sustainability course begins next week), but here’s some of the other stuff that I’ve been perusing since last we spoke:

Study: Homeless women in Fort Worth frequently victims of physical, sexual violence (Star-Telegram)

The Art of Silence (Psychology Today)

Climate Change And Violence Linked, Breakthrough Study Finds (Huffington Post)

Locked In (The Economist)

The Trauma of Being Alive (NY Times)

Finally, Thousands of Old Rape-Evidence Kits Are to Be Tested (NY Times)

Build a Career Worth Having (Harvard Business Review)

Twitter Hands Down New Rules To Beat Abusive Talk (Huffington Post)

‘He Said/She Said’ Journalism: A Growing Threat to Public Health (RH Reality Check)

{ps: make sure to check out the updated Strangulation clinical guide, which now features links to the 2 most recent archived webinars Jen Pierce-Weeks and I did on strangulation in adults and pediatrics.)
