Child Neglect: A Review

The Tribal Forensic Healthcare project’s pediatric webinar for December is Child Neglect: A Review. The session is being offered on December 2nd from 3-4:30pm ET and has CEUs available at no cost (CMEs have been applied for). Even if you don’t take care of AI/AN patients, these webinars are a great opportunity to enhance your skill set and get free CEs, so I encourage you to check them out. From the site: A review of the risks and potential problems for children who are felt to be victims of neglect.  This population of children rarely receives the attention that other forms of maltreatment do.  However this group of victims has potential long term consequences that can be as devastating as what victims of other abuse experience.  And this is a population that has better potential for early recognition and intervention for the benefit of the child, and for the benefit of the caregivers so that they might function better in their role with this child. And don’t forget: there are also 2 testimony related webinars coming up this month. Order in the Court: Surviving and Thriving as an Expert Medical Witness (Pediatrics) and Courtroom Testimony in Adult/Adolescent Sexual Assault Cases. Both also free, with CEUs available (and CMEs applied for).
