Please join the Children’s Safety Network for a webinar focused on hospital-based violence intervention programs. The National Network of Hospital-based Violence Intervention Programs (NNHVIP) is a network of 22 programs that strategically leverage hospital visits from violence-related injuries as an opportunity to prevent retribution and work with the youth and family after hospital discharge to prevent further impact or incidents. NNHVIP will present information about the network, the strategies their members use, the effectiveness of those strategies, and how to get involved. NNHVIP’s affiliates, Project Ujima of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, The Violence Intervention Program at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and the Healing Hurt People program at Drexel University, will discuss their strategies, challenges and successes in engaging victims of violence.
