Yesterday as I was leaving the last session of our trial ad exercises I managed to hook my foot under the ramp leading out of the courtroom. My arms were full, so when I went down I couldn’t brace my fall. I went headlong into the corner of the wall, lacerating my scalp in the process.
Five staples (and a negative CT) later, I’m on my way back to DC. Not surprisingly I feel like I was hit by a truck, and the emerging bruising to the left side of my body is impressive. So I’m going to go ahead and take the rest of the week to recuperate. We have a big weekend planned, my kiddo’s last before heading back to the 216, so hopefully I’ll feel a tad more human in another 24-36 hours. Enjoy the rest of your week and I’ll see you back here on Monday.
(My daughter shows great promise as a medical photographer, no?)

Looks pretty good for a “rookie” photographer, I would say! Not so good for the traveling mom!
Did she wake you up during the night to check on you? Heal well Jennifer. Nice photo.
Oh dear, so sorry to hear of your accident. Take care.
Rest up. Hope you feel better soon.
Good god! I will have to get you a tricycle with training wheels to get you around. 🙂
Does your daughter hire out, definitely has potential. Lay low and allow yourself to heal Jen.
Ouch! Poor thing, glad you are ok, healing hugs sent from British Columbia
ouch, did they screen you for IPV in the ER 🙂
Bless your heart!!! Hope you continue to improve quickly. Best, Debby
Hope you have a good week of rest Jennifer and are feeling better soon. Best wishes from Australia.
