Law & Order: SVU will air an episode Wednesday night (9/29) at 9pm ET that addresses the issue of the sexual assault evidence collection kit backlog. The Joyful Heart Foundation (founded by SVU star Mariska Hargitay) has been vocal on this issue for some time, so not surprising that it’s making its way into a story line. Although I don’t usually post pop culture info on this site, I’m pretty curious to see how they address the subject, and what the ultimate message will be.
