Articles of Note: April 2026 Edition

It’s time once again for our monthly Articles of Note–and this edition is hard fought, as I have spent the last 36 hours locked out of my own website (a story for another day). But we are back, and it’s a lovely reading list for your perusal on this fine spring day. As always, most links lead to PubMed abstracts, although there are a fair number of free full text articles to be found. A couple special mentions this go-round: Forsberg and colleagues’ examination of racial and ethnic differences in IPV-related homicides; van Rooy, Filmalter, & Heyns study of trafficking victims’ experiences in EDs; and an editorial by Julie Valentine announcing the forthcoming 3rd edition of the Scope and Standards of Forensic Nursing, which is wonderful news in otherwise challenging times for the profession.

There’s some great work happening behind the scenes that I can’t wait to be able to talk about here, including the forthcoming announcement about one of my very favorite courses of the year (iykyk), so stay tuned. Watch this space as information becomes publicly available. Until then, happy reading, see you back here next month.
