Articles of Note: May 2026 Edition

It’s time once again for Articles of Note, our monthly romp through the peer-reviewed literature. It’s a good list this month, and one that I think is particularly diverse. A couple things to point out: I’m happy to report that I have an article on the list (Campbell, Pierce, Ashley, et al.) on attrition in SANE training; a very interesting letter that warrants attention in Lancet about fabricated citations by Topaz and colleagues that feels particularly timely with the huge push for AI use right now; and White and colleague’s new article on skin color and injury detection, which I am trying to get my hands on, but haven’t yet read myself.

For those of you attending Crimes Against Women, hope you have a great conference. I will miss seeing everyone.

Happy reading. See you next month.
